Mommy, I just wanted to shake hands

Wednesday, i went to my father-in-law’s shop to get some fabric. Since have of the store is now a franchiseshop from my husbands brand SuitArt, there is a mannequin standing next to the door. While i was looking through all the fabrics, i let her wander around for a bit, knowing that i’d hear the bell when she leaves the shop. When she unusually silent for several minutes i went to see what she’s doing. That’s how i found her:

Her eyes said something like: mommy, mommy, i didn’t do this on purpose, the hand just fell off. Please, please, please don’t be mad at me, i really didn’t want to hurt that guy. That’s what she told me with her eyes in just one second.
I’m sure you can imagine her puppyeyes. And i couldn’t stop myself, i just had to laugh. Of course jelina didn’t understand why i was laughing and her eyes became so worried, i had to kneel down and tell her everything was fine.

I took that hand out of jelina’s hands and put it back to the mannequin, hugging her tightly afterwards.

Yeah, things like that happen when you have a little kid like this. Do you have a similar memory of either you being a kid or someone you know?

Kids and their toys

Jelina has a lot of stuffed animals… Most kids do. But in her case, it’s more like her toys have a little human to play with 🙂

These are not all of her stuffed animals that share her bed. And after all, she has a second bed at my parent’s too, and there is another armee of toys to keep her safe while she’s sleeping (hey, don’t laugh but when i was a kid, i always thought my ‘friends’, mostly my favourite elephant ‘robin’ was my own bodyguard while i sleep. Oh and that’s one of the reasons i bought jelina an elephant… And a bit later i sewed her a second elephant..)
At least she doesn’t have as many as i had… Yet… Hey, i had more than one hundred stuffed animals, crazy right? And most of them are still in the basement at my parent’s… Uh, never tell jelina about them or she might put all of them into her bed and then come to sleep in our bed, saying there’s no more space left in her own one.. O_O

I know my husband will call me many bad things if he’s gonna read this but hey, it was delicious and jelina likes it!
When i went groceries shopping i saw my favourite fried sausages, the ones with cheese and broccoli on sale and i just couldn’t resist…
So for lunch i decided to make two of them, knowing david won’t like it anyways so eat them as long as he doesn’t kniw about them.
I knew for a fact that jelina likes this one too so i thought i could make two and then i’d probably have to eat one and a half…

I ended up eating only the ends of her sausage, she ate the rest of her sausage all alone! Hey, usually i’m full after a half one, and i’m a grown up…
Only now i have to see what i’m going to give her after her nap… Something healthy for sure… I only got one problem with that – she refuses everything that is healthy
She even managed to pick out a few pieces of the broccoli from her sausage!?

At least now she’s full and tired. gives me a good two hours to clean the appartement. Yeppie… Not.

Jelina became an artist

This once was my drawing of my dress… Was..!
Jelina’s creative vein came out when my husband was ‘looking after her’.
Maybe i’ll frame it and then hang it up in our livingroom^^

What a day

I already told you that i had my driving test this morning and there i thought it’s a great day.
When i look back now.. Well, i just tell you what happened:
1. I passed said test
2. I had to drive home by train cause my drivingteacher ditched my at the railway station
3. I had to wait 30minutes for the bus so i went tomy brother-in-law and we drank milk
4. I would’ve had to wait another 35minutes for the bus to my parents town but then i saw their neighbour’s son and a familyfriend and they took me with them
5. When i arrived at my parents home it was vacated.. My daughter was with them!!?? So i decided to take a first sunbath in their garden until i remembered that maybe they wait at the busstation for me
6. I called my mum and found out that i was right so i wanted to go inside and change into shorts.
That’s when a bee crawled under my shirt and thought it funny to sting me -.-
7. The sting didn’t hurt for long and we could eat like nothing happened. After noon we brought jelina to bed
8. I continued sewing my dress
9. I took a sunbath in my bikini because it was too hot to work
9. Jelina was still sleeping and the sun played hide and seek so i went back to sewing until it was time to go home
10. Jelina started reading a newspaper

11. We visited david who had a meeting in a cafe and ate an ice
12. The cofe was going to close soon when it grew dark outside. A few minutes later it started to rain
13. We had to leave but luckily tze old store of my husban is next door so we could run over there but then it was already hailing
14. We outwaited the storm (which lasted at about 15 minutes) and then we could walk home
15. They started building a traffic circle a few metres from our apartment and for now we have to walk on this small dirty sidewalk. After the rain it had a lot of small dirty ponds in this sidewalk and there i had to run through to avoid the water which is thrown at me from the passing cars. Thanks to the traffic light we had a few seconds to run through there until the cars from the other side passed.
16. Because of all this, i had dirtwater up to my hips and when we arrived at home i first went to the bathroom
17. I cooked dinner for jelina and then for david and me
18. I sit in front of the tv, not watching though because i’m writing about my day

I’d call that an eventful day

Oh btw, can someone explain to me why the carrots alwasy went to the middle of the pan and the zucchini to the outside?

Whenever i stirred it up, it looked the same again after a few minutes.

Reaching for the sky

Jelina started building towers with these plasticbricks from ‘duplo’ (we just call them duplo for short).
So today when i came to my parents, i had to help her with an extra high tower. After the first one, which went up to the ceiling, fell down i started rebuilding it, with jelina’s help of course, because i couldn’t take a picture of it. So the second time i put a plate on top so it would stop it from falling, cause if the tower moved a bit to the side, the plate would touch the ceiling and block it.

Now this is what the second tower looked like. If you watch it closely, you can see my mom in the background ^^
of course, this one fell down too afer a while, though i had to help it, and my daughter started laughing. So now we know that she loves letting towers fall down. When daddy (jelina’s dad not mine) came too, he had to build towers for quite a while.

Our visit at my parents ended the brst way it could… With a chocolate mousse made with ‘toblerone’ chocolate… Yummie

Jelina is my sun

Jelina an me went to my parents like many other days… But today we went at another time than usual. So we came to be early for the bus and instead of waiting for a good half an hour i decided to walk a part of the way and this is where we waited for the bus after our walk.

After my daughter slept for most of our time there, she finally got to take her bath.

Being dry again, we had to hurry to catch our bus home, but see how happy she is?
